Mitch has a MBA in Finance & Management Information Systems from the University of Illinois, and an undergraduate degree in business (BBA) from the University of Iowa. Mitch worked for GTE/AG Communication Systems, a telecommunications manufacturing company, from 1/85-9/04, when he was laid-off by Lucent Technologies, who had purchased AGCS from Verizon. Mitch started as a Financial Analyst. For the last 14 years Mitch worked at AG/Lucent, he was the Director of Business Operations for the company's service unit. This unit was run as a Profit and Loss business and was responsible for the engineering of product into customer networks (project engineering), installation, project management, and after installation support. Mitch reported to the Vice President and General Manger of the P&L. Mitch's role included all financial support, contractual negotiations, pricing, employee training, OSHA compliance, quality standard (ISO, etc.) compliance, licensing/bonding compliance, and general administrative tasks associated with running the business.
